Our history

Who Are We?

We are a key venue where organizations working within the MRC des Laurentides come together to serve children and young people aged 0 to 25, as well as their parents. We are a collaborative space aimed at:

  • Enabling member organizations to create supportive networks and share information;
  • Promoting partnerships and the development of coordinated projects to address the needs of young people;
  • Engaging with political bodies (municipal, MRC, provincial, and federal) and partners to highlight the needs and issues facing children, adolescents, and young adults aged 0 to 25.

Founded over 20 years ago by local community organizations, the Youth Collective of the MRC des Laurentides has undergone several phases of growth. Adapting to changing realities, it has always been committed to bringing together a diverse range of local actors. To ensure the vitality of this exchange space, member organizations and institutions of the Youth Collective continually innovate to share information, think collaboratively, support each other, and find creative solutions to the needs of children and young people in the community..

 “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” — Henry Ford.

What is a Collective Table?

A Collective table is a group of organizations from the community, institutional, and municipal sectors of a city or region. These organizations get to know each other and work together. They then develop collective projects to address the needs of the population.
